The Jacob A. Heinrich American Legion Herreid – Pollock Post 170 received several awards from the Legion state and national headquarters.

“These awards are reflective of the hard work our Legion Adjunct, Lester Goehring, does throughout the year,” said Post 170 Commander Andrew Van Kuren. The Post 170 Squadron received three, 100% Honor Ribbons which reflects new and renewing memberships in the Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion and Legionnaires.

Post 170 also received the 2021 “Go-Getter Award” for the Squadron’s overall membership success. Lastly, Post 170 received the “Americanism Citation” from the National Headquarters for Outstanding Service to the local Community.

Commander Van Kuren said, “We are very humbled and honored to receive this prestigious citation. It reflects the commitment by our local post leaders like Lance Vander Vorst, Darlene Bates and all the members of our overall squadron.”
