Herreid/Selby Area lost a pair of games to Class A teams, falling 48-44 to Stanley County in Selby on Dec. 30, after dropping a 49-39 game to Aberdeen Roncalli in Herreid on Dec. 28.
Stanley County outscored the Wolverines 17-13 in the fourth quarter to pull out the win.
HSA led 11-6 after one quarter. Stanley County used a 15-6 second quarter to forge a 21-17 lead before the Wolverines outscored the Lady Buffaloes 14-10 in the third quarter to knot the game at 31-31.
Jada Rossow scored 12 points, Pausha Meidinger 11 and Jordyn Rossow scored 10 to pace the Wolverines.
Maddie Duffy hit four three-pointers and scored a gamehigh 21 points to lead Stanley County. Cadence Hand and Kori Gabriel added nine points each.
Roncalli edged away from the Wolverines for the 10-point win. The Cavaliers led by one, six and 11 at the quarter stops.
Jordyn Rossow led the Wolverines with 11 points. Jada Rossow followed with 10 points. Jennica Berens added eight points.
Rylee Voeller led a balanced Cavalier squad with 10 points. Ava Hanson scored nine points, Camryn Bain and Claire Crawford eight and McKenna O’Keefe seven.
