Linda (Weismantel) Baule, 71, died Aug. 2, 2021, with family by her side at the Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn., after a long fight with cancer.
A celebration of life for Linda was held Friday, Aug. 13, at Cross View Lutheran Church, Edina, Minn. Interment will be at the Andover Cemetery on Saturday, Aug. 28, at 10 a.m.
Linda was born in Aberdeen, the daughter of Willis and Arlene Alice (Kruse) Weismantel. Linda graduated from High School at Groton in 1968. She continued her education at Northern State College and graduated with an accounting degree in 1971. Linda received her master’s degree from St. Thomas University in 1987 and earned her CPA accreditation in 1995.
After college she married Claire Baule on Aug. 28, 1971. She was planning for their 50th wedding anniversary in a few weeks. Linda began working in 1972 in the Restaurant Business in the finance area for Baker Square, where she worked for 21 years. She also worked as a business consultant in the latter half of her career. Linda was very active in church activities. She was a church Deaconess, church Treasurer, volunteered in the Stephen Ministries, and spent endless hours working on quilts.
Linda is survived by her husband, Claire Baule, of Minnetonka, Minn.; son, Jason (Anna) Baule of Aurora, Ill.; two grandchildren; siblings: Cecil Weismantel of Sioux Falls, Gary (Sandy) Weismantel of Herreid, Joy (Paul) Mammenga of Columbia, S.D., Jolene Siders of Aberdeen and Larry (Jeannette) Weismantel of Ankeny, Iowa; and many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; paternal grandparents, William and Ida Weismantel; maternal grandparents, John and Lillian Kruse; brother, Arlen Willis; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Weismantel.
