Watching for Warm Season Weeds!
Now is the time to be on the lookout for Palmer Amaranth in fields. Palmer Amaranth was positively identified in central South Dakota in 2016. A member of the pigweed family, Palmer Amaranth can be difficult to distinguish from other species in that family when it is young. However, as it grows, it develops some features that can help with identification.
